FAQ Statement We’ve collected some of the more common “Frequently Asked Questions” here to help our clients and
prospective attendees better understand our plans and policies. If you have any questions not addressed by our answers below, feel free to contact us at info@dancecard.com
Q. How do I know if there will be enough people attending the dance with whom I can connect? A. With our ads in the Denver Post/Rocky Mountain News, lots of
quality publicity, links to various singles web sites and numerous mailings, we are quickly building significant awareness in the Front Range. Each dance is going to attract a different clientele. We hope
that as each of our clients experiences our unique atmosphere and the quality of our food and live music, they will refer their friends to come experience our elegant dances as well. If, for some reason, you feel
that there were not enough people for you to meet and mingle with at one of our dances, the Dance Card Company will cheerfully refund your registration.
Q. Will these dances be held in different parts of the metro areas,
and will you feature different bands over time? A. Yes, and Yes. The idea is the host or dances throughout the greater Denver metro area, using a range of different quality hotels that have
elegant ballrooms. So, eventually we will have an event at a hotel near you. However, people already are coming from all over the metro area
to attend each of our dances. And, for the record, we think the Joe Peterson Orchestra is a great band to dance to. Their style allows people to enjoy conversation with dance music in the background.
Their particular sound helps our clients enjoy the dance, while still being able to talk with one another. However, in the future, other equally professional dance bands will be introduced, to vary the music
for our clients.
Q. I like the quality and care put into having these dances. Can you
open it up to offer similar experiences for those who aren’t single? A. Yes! Our future plans will incorporate additional dances for high
school proms, fundraisers, and events for married couples -- all using a dance card for those particular evening programs.
Q.
I have a friend who is single and likes to dance, but really isn’t ready for a relationship. Can my friend come just to dance? A.
No, not really. The single men and women who attend these dances
are wanting a relationship, in hopes of leading to marriage.
Q. Is this a dating or matchmaking service? A. Not really. We only record each registrant’s name -- not their age.
Nor do we ask people to fill out a questionnaire to profile prospective mates. That’s what the courtship is all about. Hopefully you’ll find someone with enough mutual interests and hobbies at the dance to
want to continue the courtship. The back pages of the dance card are a good place to record personal information, should you wish. Plus, we don’t charge a membership fee to be on our mailing list.
Q.
How do I know if there are going to be enough men at the dance? A. It’s hard to assure an equal pairing of men and women. So we
started a “100 Gentlemen” Singles Dance for men to pre-register, thus assuring the room is full. When 100 gentlemen are registered, as ladies start to register on line, we will stop taking registrations from
ladies once we’ve received 100. This makes for just the right number of people to have a great Dance Party for Singles.
Q.
What about doing these dances for senior citizens? I see that the age brackets stop at 60. A. Most certainly these dances will include senior citizens. Seniors
express a lot of interest in this particular kind of dance because they remember the era of big band orchestras and using dance cards. Allow us just a few months to establish a schedule of ballroom dances
and managing costs.
Q.
My divorce is not finalized but will be soon. I consider myself “single”. Can I come to these dances? A.
I recommend, “Not just yet”. Every month a series of dances will occur throughout the metro area. There will be plenty of opportunities to begin a courtship, following your divorce.
Q.
I like the quality and care put into having these dances. Will it only be for singles? A.
Our future plans will also incorporate dances for such events as high school proms, fundraisers, and married couples - all using a dance card for the particular program that evening.
Q. Are they always at one hotel location? A.
These dances will be held at a wide range of high quality dance locations throughout the Denver area. Hotels are typically easy to find
but there are other suitable venues -- country clubs and Colorado buildings -- that would be great locations.
